This policy explains what compare-usa.online ("Compare USA", "we", "us") collects when you visit, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We are a comparison and affiliate marketing website — we are not a lender and we do not make credit decisions.
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
We keep this deliberately minimal. We collect:
- Technical data, automatically. IP address, browser and device type, operating system, screen size, referring URL, the pages you view and the time you spend on them.
- Interaction data. Which filters you select, which comparison offers you click, and whether you opened a disclosure or an offer link.
- Information you volunteer. If you email us, we hold your email address and message so we can reply.
We do not ask for, and this site does not collect, sensitive financial information. We never request your Social Security number, bank login, account numbers, card details or date of birth. If you are ever asked for those on a page that looks like ours, do not enter them — contact us instead.
3. Why we collect it
- To operate the site, serve pages correctly and keep them secure.
- To measure which offers and pages perform, so we can improve the comparison.
- To attribute referrals to the correct partner so our commission is recorded.
- To detect fraud, abuse and automated traffic.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies. Broadly they fall into three groups:
- Necessary — remembering that you dismissed a pop-up, and keeping the site secure. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — aggregate measurement of traffic and on-page behaviour.
- Advertising and affiliate tracking — set by our partners and their networks to attribute a click to a referral, and to measure ad campaigns.

5. Affiliate links and third parties
When you click an offer you leave our site and land on the partner's own website. From that point their privacy policy applies, not ours. The partner may receive the fact that you arrived from Compare USA, together with a tracking identifier that lets them pay our commission. Anything you subsequently enter on their site — your application, your personal and financial details — goes to them, not to us. We never see it.
We may share limited technical and interaction data with:
- Analytics providers, to measure site usage.
- Affiliate networks and partners, for referral attribution.
- Hosting, CDN and security providers, to deliver and protect the site.
- Professional advisers or authorities, where we are legally required to disclose.
We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary sense of the word, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising outside the affiliate attribution described above.
6. How long we keep data
Server logs and analytics data are retained for up to 24 months, then deleted or aggregated so they no longer identify a device. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to meet our record-keeping obligations.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our processing, ask for a copy in a portable format, or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), other US states with comparable laws, the UK and the EEA (UK GDPR / GDPR) have these rights.
To make a request, email privacy@compare-usa.online. We will respond within the period your law requires — and within 45 days at the latest. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right. You may also set the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honour as an opt-out where applicable.
8. Children
This site is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
We are based in, and our service providers may process data in, the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in a country whose data protection laws differ from your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our site or the law changes. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
